To have a better knowledge of winds and currents should know the cardinal points (North, South, East and West). The sun rises in the east and sets in the West, from there we will know what name we give to the wind and what their influences on the sea.
· The offshore wind is so named because it blows from land to the sea.
· A warm wind, usually aliza the sea and makes hollow waves.
· Many days of onshore wind can stop waving.
· The onshore is the inverse of onshore, blowing from sea to land.
· Generally a cold wind stirs the sea and big waves can happen or cold front.
